Bodyboss Review: My Opinion On The Ultimate Body Fitness Guide

Considering trying the BodyBoss method? Read this review before you spend your money!

meHey ladies! My name is Barbara G. I’m a single mother of two – which is a full time job.

Besides this, I’ve had the added fun of dealing with my recent divorce. My husband decided that “till death do us part” was optional, especially when you introduce a younger, thinner model of me into the equation. Maybe the red flags were there, but it took me more than half a year before I caught him in the act.

I’m not going to spill my life online, and I don’t want to bore you guys with my misery, but I will say that I sunk into a depression. Lots of crying, lots of binge eating, and worst of all, lots of neglecting my children.

During this time period, my weight started ballooning. I was unhealthy physically and mentally, with constant brain fog and little motivation to do much besides work.

I had an epiphany one day, stuck in traffic and looking to the left and seeing an in-progress Pilates class, packed with women that I USED to look like. I needed a change. Not just to be the mom I needed to be, but to get my weight back in control and return to the woman I should be.

I pulled out my phone right there and starting such for ways for a busy woman to get into shape 🙂

UPDATE: I found a much better alternative, and included my results since swapping to the new program. If you’re interested, keep reading. It’s included at the bottom of this post.

My BodyBoss Method Review

The sob story chapter was closed – both in my life and in this review. Today, I’m just going to share my honest thoughts and opinions on the Bodyboss method.

Is the Bodyboss fitness guide worth the money?

I’ll start off with the obvious – It’s a pretty expensive workout guide. Doubly so if you’re at all conscious with online purchases (as every woman should be, in my opinion). I ended up paying $50 USD for the online PDF, which is a decent chunk of change.

But of course, this is acceptable IF it’s worth the price. So is it?

No. And Yes. Let me explain…

First off, at that price point, I’m going to want something comprehensive. I should have no desire to look into any other workout – It should start and end with your program. So naturally, I want a little more than a simple ebook with a few images.

But that’s what I got. And maybe that’s standard when it comes to workout guides, but excuse me for wanting more. Not to mention, I later found out Bodyboss is actually MORE EXPENSIVE than other programs.

As far as information and actual workouts go – Bodyboss is alright. I can’t say I was completely ripped off, but I was disappointed overall in the lack of content for that price.

I stuck with the workouts for a solid 2 weeks before I quit. It was just too boring and hard to follow 🙁

Note: Now that I’ve found a replacement, I can say I quit not because I’m a quitter, but because the program wasn’t meeting my needs. It didn’t help that I was let down right from the beginning.

My Incomplete Bodyboss Results

So yeah, after 2 weeks I was done, I was out! I gave it an honest shot, but like I said, the guides didn’t keep me motivated enough to stick with it.You might say 2 weeks is early, but I’ll counter with “the 2 weeks were boring”.

I can resolutely say I’m not a fan of Bodyboss.

Obviously since I stopped 2 weeks in, my Bodyboss results weren’t spectacular, but I would have stayed with it if I felt I was getting what I deserved out of the workout.

I showed it to one of my girlfriends (one of the women I asked about the Pilates class, in fact) who spends a lot of time in the gym. Even she pointed out how bare-bones the guide was (and couldn’t help but laugh when she found out how much I had paid… Thanks Nicki.) She tried to console me with one simple question –

Does the Bodyboss Workout Work?

Like most other programs, I’m sure if you stick with it for a good amount of time, you’ll see solid results. BUT In my opinion, this is more like a guide for women that are already fit.

I wanted something for more of a beginner. Something where gym equipment would be more optional, and maybe even a program I could do from anywhere.

If you’re like me and also want something for busy/beginner women to try out, and are looking for a program that’s more bang for you buck, I can tell you that the alternative workout I now follow is available at www.bikinibodyworkouts.com.

The Bodyboss Alternative that is CHEAPER and BETTER…

Bodyboss was a complete failure, and I’m not going to lie,  I thought it might have been because of me. 2 weeks before I quit a workout isn’t great, and it’s totally possible that it was due to me being too weak. At least, these were the sort of thoughts running through my head.,

But I knew I was sick of being fat and unhealthy, so I decided to try a different workout program and see if I could stick with it.

What I discovered ended up being perfect for me. And I found it by discovering a post online where other people were complaining about their experiences with body boss. One of them recommended the program I now swear by.

The Bikini Body Workouts by Jen Ferruggia.

I was little disappointed at myself and at the Bodyboss guides but I was also sick and tired of feeling fat and unhealthy so I wasn’t going to completely give up – I just needed to find something that was right for me! It’s funny actually because I searched online to see if anyone felt the same and I came across a forum and there was a discussion on there with others who also had a bad experience.

That’s when I found the bikini body workouts by Jen Ferruggia.

I think we can all agree that it’s a little annoying when you find what you’re looking for after wasting time on something else. The Bikini Body Workouts include more than what I got from Body Boss, and at a fraction of the price.

Jen Ferrugia’s program includes a workout manual, workout videos (making it easy to follow along), a completely nutrition and diet guide, even shopping lists! You might as well go to Jen’s website at www.bikinibodyworkouts.com to see exactly what I’m talking about… the full program is available for just $30. ($29.99 if you’re being specific).

Bodyboss Method vs Bikini Body Workouts

Here’s a comparison chart I put together so you can see the difference between the two programs!

As you can see there’s a HUGE difference in price, and Jen’s Bikini Body Workouts are clearly a better value.

I’m a month into Jen’s program and I’m not slowing down anytime soon. I’m actually enjoying following her program and working up a sweat, plus I’m eating food that’s actually tasty while nutritous.

I can’t come out and say that Bodyboss won’t work for anyone, and I’m not just here to hate on them.

But the fact of the matter is that there are other programs out there that can help you out a lot more, and if I didn’t dare to try a new one, I might have missed out on believing I could get back in shape.

I needed a solid workout I could follow to the letter and get results, and while I tried and trusted Bodyboss to be that program, ultimately it was Jen’s program that helped me get on the path I needed. Maybe in a weird way I should thank them for leading me there… but I don’t know.

At the end of the day, Jen’s program made more sense financially and it ended up being the guide I NEEDED, and that is my honest experience with it.

That said, if you have any questions or comments about the Bodyboss workout or the Bikini Body Workouts, I’d be happy to answer them and help you guys in the comments below. Just don’t ask me to share the PDFs with you or anything shady like that, you should buy the guide you think will work best for you.

Not to mention, paying for a workout personally helps make me feel more responsible for sticking with it (again, only as long as I enjoy it…)

Coupon Codes and Discounts!

Back before I bought the program, I tried to see if I could find any Bodyboss Coupon Codes. I’m sorry to say – there weren’t any…EVER. No matter what I searched, I couldn’t get a break.

HOWEVER!

If you’re interested in following the Jen Ferrugia Bikini Body Workouts at my recommendation, I’m happy to say one of my blog readers from the comments below managed to find a place where you could get a coupon code. Thanks Kara!  The website is available at http://www.workingdiscountcodes.com/bikini-body-workouts-coupon/ and includes a coupon to get 15% off the workout.

I paid full price and I’m happy, but with this, you might as well invest in the level 2 program and try it out, since you’re getting it a great deal. That’s just my recommendation though, follow whatever workout brings you the best results (while being enjoyable)!

UPDATE: My Results So Far

Results speak for themselves. Check out my 24 transformation!

It’s been 6 months. Here’s my final transformation.

24 months. 2-3 pounds lost every week at a steady basis, with barely any stalling.

The first week was the hardest as I adjusted, but soon I started noticing I had more energy throughout the day, and would jump out bed full of energy and fully charged.

It made it easy in the coming weeks to stick to my program, and before I knew it 6 months had passed. I never once felt like I was stuck in a rut, like I was doing my hardest to stick to a program.

The best feeling was having energy to play my with daughter and son again, and care for them as a mother should. Even they started to get in on the fun, eating the same meals as me and even trying to exercise with me every now and then (not often, to be honest 🙂).

Ultimately, this experience taught me the importance of finding a workout that you can stick to. For some people, they might want to follow in my footsteps and use Jen Ferrugia’s program. Others might see more success with the Bodyboss Method. And that’s fine.

Whatever program you end up going with – I hope you find one that really works for you! Every woman should be able to reach the ideal body they want to. And Jen Ferruggia, if you ever happen to Google yourself and come across this blog… thank you so much. Your workout changed, and possibly saved, my life.

  1. Bodyboss method is absolutely NOT worth it in my opinion. Didn’t like it; wasted my money. Plus they pay affiliates to give their program good reviews. Better off finding something else…
